Questions families ask on tours
Most families who visit want to know these things.
Will my child be known here?
In elementary, one lead teacher is responsible for each class and knows how every child in it is doing, in schoolwork, with friends and in faith.
What does a normal day look like?
School runs from 8:30 to 3:30, with time outside every day and chapel every week. The day is laid out further down this page.
How is the school growing?
Over the past two years we changed how we teach reading and math, and this school year we took personal devices out of the school day. Our leadership is also working through the school's name and identity this year.
Looking Ahead
We are learning and improving our educational methods based on the latest research
New reading and math programs
Over the past two years, kindergarten through 6th grade moved to UFLI Foundations for phonics, Arts & Letters for reading and writing, and JUMP Math. Each is a step-by-step program with evidence behind it, so every child moves through the same clear sequence and our teachers spend their time teaching rather than building lessons from scratch.
No personal devices
Since Fall 2026, students don't carry their own devices at school. All technology is issued by the school, so learning is more effective and the school day is spent connecting with teachers and classmates rather than on a screen.
Building a better tomorrow
This year, our leadership team is taking time to reflect and distill down the lessons we've learned over the past 14 years. We're building a new mission and vision, as well as creating a new identity and brand for the school that can help us to scale into an even better resource for education for many more years to come.
Where your child will spend the day
Our campus has four school buildings, so younger and older students each have a space that fits their age.
Buildings A and C. Elementary has its own two buildings.
The main building on the hill. Jr. High and high school share it.
The best way to see it is on a tour. Tours are open now.
Things families count on
Our school’s distinctives.
One lead teacher responsible for each elementary class
Regular exercise and time outside every day
No letter grades in elementary, so children learn without feeling graded as people
Active curriculars with Bible classes and devotions, class discussions, Athletics from kindergarten, Clubs, Recess, and Internships
Our students come from a variety of churches and youth groups across Nashville. We describe ourselves as non-denominational, even interdenominational, and our Bible curriculum was developed in-house by teachers with a deep theological education.
Bible is taught everyday and chapel meets every week. Each week the whole school takes up one value from Scripture, such as honesty or patience, and students memorize a verse that goes with it.

Each level has its own page with more detail.
Kindergarten
That children love school
That they make and keep healthy friendships
That they learn to listen and obey their teachers
That they develop a strong reading foundation
Reading starts with UFLI Foundations and math with JUMP Math, alongside Outdoor Adventures, Chores & Manners, and Share Time, where each child brings something from home and answers classmates' questions about it.
A first full year of school with four goals in mind
Elementary 1-6
Lead teachers who know how each child is doingNo letter grades. Report cards show where a child stands on each skill, from just starting to excelling, because young children tend to hear a grade on their work as a grade on themselves.
Homework is recommended and never required.
At least two recess periods every day.
Sixth grade is the last year of elementary, so children move up to Jr. High in 7th grade with classmates they already know.
Junior High 7&8
A safe place to be a teenAt our school, letter grades start in seventh grade, with teachers walking students through what a grade measures and how it's used for learning.
How to have healthy relationships is embedded in our Bible classes to help equip kids with the skills to navigate their social landscape.
We make sure that students are prepared for high school through practicing homework and schedules that prepare them.
High School
Developing real skills to prepare them for lifeInternship programs and dual enrollment allow students to get a head start by earning real college credits.
Improved math and language arts programs make sure that no student falls through the cracks and classes are paced so that everyone learns together.
